That Look

That Look - 04/22/16 04:30 PM

I was working in the garden a couple of days ago and I hear this bird land near me. I look up and on the fence about 10' away is this dove. A bit later I look at him again and he seems to be asleep. When I get through pulling weeds, he is still there. So I go in the house, get the camera and come back out. Sound asleep it appears. Just before I get the first photo I see one eye partially open. When the shutter clicks I get this look. Ooops , I disturbed his nap.

I think that's a freshly fledged young bird but I may be wrong. Cool pics!

Its an adult bird. Either a Ground Dove or an Inca Dove, I can't tell them apart. We have quite a few that hang around.
