Camped there one weekend on a deer hunt. Very nice park. our place to hunt was the section that you can walk down to the waterfall. We spent more time looking around than we did deer hunting.

Wife and I drove down Wed. and Fri. of last week and just fished for the afternoon each day. We caught and released over 40 each day. We kept a few for the skillet each day. Lots of females already there. Nearly all the fish we kept were full of eggs. banana

It was eleven years ago that Buchanan was full. Been downhill ever since. The last three years there wasn't enough water in the river for the whites to make there run upstream. Its still down 6.94' today but sure is adding to our early spring fun. Stub we were trolling 1/8 oz roadrunner jigs in white or chartreuse. And caught fish upstream and downstream of the ramp. We fished downstream of the ramp more because of the number of yaks, canoes, tubers, and waders upstream in the shallows.
