Great day on Baffin Bay

Great trip on Baffin Bay with my brother and Capt Mike Larue. Limit of Specs up to 4lbs yesterday. Had these in the boat by 10am. Them went and tracked down a couple red drum to top off the day.

Dkershen, I grew up killing specks in the rocks of Baffin Bay with popping corks and live shrimp. Our biggest ever caught was about 8.5 lbs. Also got the occasional oversize Reds.

Afraid so. I know it's hard to believe someone as good looking as me could have such a homely sibling.



Have torn them up there for sure. Like to walk a Zara Spook across the rocks. Have caught some of my biggest trout that way.

WoW nice stringer! Never caught a spec before, that would probably be fun. Not sure I want to be butt deep in the water with a stringer full of fish though with my luck

What did you use and where did you go exactly? I'm trying to go on a cheap fishing trip with a couple of my buddies somewhere along the coast soon.

Can't give up the exact spot, but we were wade fishing in Baffin. Throwing 1/8 ounce jigs and pumpkin seed paddle tail soft plastics.

For big specs and lots of them go to Baffin and end at Baffin. Popping corks with live shrimp in the rocks is awesome, shrimptails and popping corks is always good, croaker and piggie perch always hits the spot. Growing up, we used to go out there every weekend outside of dove/deer hunting seasons. Nothing like snagging a 6+ lb. spec and letting the fight begin..
