Baby Girl Wanted to Tag Along

My 3 year old decided today was the day and wanted to sit with daddy. Hopped on the mule and went to put a card in camera before going to the stand. Rode down the fence line in the mule and thought I saw a deer. Cut the engine and looked about 300 yards and saw a big axis buck with a slick head. Glassed some more and saw 4 more in various stages of velvet. One was about a month from being done but is gonna be a stud. Then I saw one bedded down that was about to rub out. Crept a little closer, not an easy task with a 3 year old. Got within 200 yards and found a stump to sit behind. By this time he was on to us and had stood and was looking right at us. I asked her if we should shoot and she said yes. Put in his pump station at 189 yards.
He piled up about 30 yards away. She was stoked.

Doesn't get any better than that. Congratulations. Great looking Axis and your daughter is too cute sir.

She's a cutie! My daughter (13 yrs old) couldn't care less about hunting herself.....but is always pumped when Dad brings home axis meat. Can't get her to eat whitetail anymore, unless its jerky
