Will he meet AR? - 12/10/15 12:39 AM

Think he will make AR? Looks like the one I was after may have been taken. Sure has a big neck on him, curious his age.

Re: Will he meet AR? - 12/10/15 01:05 AM

Yes, easily. No disrespect to the previous poster, but that's a 6 year old deer. His hocks and body condition for this time of year suggest he's pretty well opted out of the breeding pool.

Are most photos of him at night or do you have him in all lighting conditions? Those deer typically go almost completely nocturnal. Your one daylight photo of the deer was under dark, rainy conditions in the middle of the afternoon. More evidence of his preference for low light to me. That's only my opinion and it is worth what you paid for it, or less. I'm no expert.

He'll make the A/R with room to spare. Good mature deer. I would put him at 4.5, has brisket, but no belly or swayed back, mature but not old looking head/face.

Post back.....if you take him.

Flint.

He's been fighting though, enough to bust that 2 off.

But yes, and mature. Good target.

His broken tines suggest he hasn't opted out of the breeding pool.

No disrespect taken, I put the plus sign to indicate that I think he could easily be older, and that he's one the OP needs to get eyes on and confirm. I would not be surprised if he was 5.5 or 6.5 or even older.
