My daughter's paintings.....

She is almost 16, a few years ago she told me "Dad, I just really want to draw and paint, painting is my happy place. I love hunting and fishing and stuff, but this is what I really want to do". This girl shoots, skins, guts animals....helps with the processing/packaging and all of that, but turn your back on her and she is sitting down somewhere with a canvas on her lap. She asks if she can get on the internet to look at pictures, ok. Then she sits down in her little corner against the wall and starts painting. Won't make a peep for hours. She's painting like crazy and has been selling a lot of her stuff to help cover the expenses. All free hand, and she gets better every day. I need to stock up on some picture hangers. Yes, I'm setting up a little studio for her. Hope she keeps it going.....





She did three of these tonight while I was making summer sausage & snack sticks with her brother. She'll be up in the morning before breakfast going at it again. #Motivation.

Me too, I told her the trout is mine. She said no I'll make you a better one. I said what happens when you argue with me? That was her first trout painting, and it's mine ha ha.
