What is WRONG with this pig?

This pig shows up on camera fairly regularly, but the old man deleted all of its photos but this one. It is truly frightening, we call it Skeletor. The rest of the herd looks healthy enough. I am just wondering if this is some sort of communicable illness? Best believe I am leaving that thing where it falls if I ever run across it in person

Also, camera date is waaay off. This was a month or so ago. It has been seen since.

Maybe just really old and sick? IDK

This is most likely correct. Worms kill more feral hogs than anything else. Really their only natural enemy.
A domestic hog that is kept wormed will live 8 to 12 years a feral hog is old if he reaches 5.

Didn't realize worms would impact them to that extent! Makes sense though, I know heavy loads can kill very young and very old dogs. Maybe an older hog that just can't cope with it... Hopefully it's that and not some swine form of CWD Never have seen such a skinny hog!

No need almost all feral hogs get them eventually. It just takes a few years to kill them. Feral hogs are tough animals.
