One eyed Terrell County buck - 11/26/15 11:46 AM
Had a great hunt last night with two of the best guys you'll ever meet.
Kenn and his grandson, Mark, only had one night to hunt. The day wasn't looking all that great. I went scouting in the morning because bucks are on the move good now. Was fogged in and didn't see much. We got to the location and for the first thirty minutes didn't see anything but birds. Then a fawn came in all by itself and stayed for about thirty minutes and left. I was going to give it thirty minutes and then move so we could make this happen. The next twenty minutes were like the first, nothing but birds. Then out pops this buck. Heads straight in, head down, broadside, one shot high shoulder and it was in the books. Pictures, cleaned, dropped off at the processor's, and we still made it to his grandma's for chili supper by 7:30.
Had a great time watching Mark harvest this one eyed 9pt!
And the venison chili from his deer last year was great!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
