Finally got a Little W. Texas [censored] this Morning!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to get one of these for years . Something always happens & I never score. I have seen these 2 since Bow Season in the area I hunt in. Shot at the Big Male @ 40 yards and he ducked the arrow. But not today! Setting way up on the side of a mesa about 160yards , w/scoped AR10. And out pops this Lovely Lady trying to ambush the Rabbits & doves around the Feeder area. She walked out in the open and took a quick peek at the feeder seeing what was around for breakfast, then quick as a flash over to the cedar trees to begin her stalk. I caught her peeking out of the underbrush at about 6:50am & 1 round of .308 pretty much put a damper on her hunting, Mine too. Took her to Rust Taxidermy in Cisco, he said she was a exceptionally large Female. I know the male I shot at in Bow season is larger than she is. I get her back in eight months & $700+ less in my pocket. That is some expensive [censored]. But she is my first and worth it!!

Thanks for all the comments. After many years she was my first cat. I really have no reason to shoot more for a mount. I know she has a mate in the area , bigger too. Is there any Logical reason to shoot him also, the guys on the lease think they should be eradicated. Also any ideas on weight of the cat I shot?

Sorry to hear your on the IR, hope it heals enough for Turkey Day weekend. Your roomie scored Sunday night after we had left. The Perfect one also scored Saturday afternoon. P scored Saturday afternoon & I scored Saturday Morning.
And also scored on the kitty Sunday morning.

You probably don't want to hear this but this past weekend was one of the best hunting weekends I have seen since being on the lease. Sunday morning was probably the best day. Frost on the ground / no wind ( thank you) / below freezing.
