7 year old daughter scores on first deer - 11/16/15 09:19 PM
After watching her big brother shoot deer for the past 3 years she wanted a try. We hunted Saturday Morning with no luck but Saturday evening this button buck came to the feeder. Honestly I was so excited she was gonna have a chance to shoot I thought it was a doe. I looked at just long enough to make sure it was a legal deer. She got her rifle set up said ok I got it in the scope can I shoot. I told her if she felt comfortable then slowly squeeze the trigger. She hit it in the chest at about 70 yards. Needless to say we were both pretty fired up. Now her and my son are debating over who gets to shoot first next year. I told them whoever has the best grades can shoot first. My son looked at me like that's not fair
. It's way more fun watching your kids have success in the woods than ever pulling the trigger yourself. Lots of fun....
