Opening weekend.. - 11/09/15 03:52 PM
It was a pretty slow opening weekend for us.
About half of our guys showed up for opening weekend which was surprising. My brother and I got to the lease Friday afternoon and checked cards and started on another feeder for a new area we found in my brother's area. We got the new feeder setup and headed off for one last bow hunt before the gun season opener. We had some really heavy rains pretty much all night long Friday with amazing lightning and thunder.
Overall it was pretty slow and very little movement with the cool front and rains. My brother did get a nice pig Sunday morning though. Also had a young 8 point taken by another member as well.
