Today's project

Today's project - 08/07/15 01:39 AM

With a bad back, lugging around a weedeater is about the worst thing I can do. I have one of the walk behind push weedeaters, but that isn't much better.

Came up with this today. I can adjust the height by sliding it forward or backward in the bracket. The throttle is run with a string tied to the little board that I can push down with my foot.

It's not perfect when you get into uneven ground but, with a little maneuvering, you can get everything pretty straight. I wouldn't want to trim a finely manicured lawn with it, but it works great for everything around here.

Where is the duct tape? Something rigged up like that has to have some somewhere on it. MacGyver would be proud!

Weed eating kills my back too. Good idea. To cut down on the weed eating I bought one of those 12V sprayers at Northern and bought the big jug of store-brand weed killer at Home Depot. Put the sprayer in my mower trailer and sprayed a ton of stuff. Got a little carried away. There's dead stuff everywhere. crazy

I've done that in a few places. Now I have dead stuff that needs to be cut down. LOL
