Trip to the lease.... - 08/03/15 05:26 PM

First time back to the lease since the season ended.

We got our deer lease camper upgrade to the lease and swapped out and got a few feeders going. The place is very green and knee high in some spots. Saw quite a few critters while we were there.

Saw this momma and fawn near the camp gate and was able to follow them and snap a few pics

Doe we call "camel nose" and she will be on the hit list.

Green and tall at our place in Ballinger too. I got really nervous when I stopped in the higher grass and it started to smell like it was burning. I got to low grass really quick.

I think you should refer to the trailer as replacement instead of new! We have a holiday rambler that is a 1978 that looks similar to yours.

I've got a doe like that on my place with a spot on the side of her nose that I've got pics of her going back to 2010, I believe. Hopefully she'll still be around this fall as I'd definitely love to take her down.

I first saw her 3 years ago and figure she was at least 2 then. I think 5 would be a good bet on her age. She is always one of the thinner Does so she doesn't show her age real well.

My doe didn't look particularly young in the first pics I got of her either, but she is a mean motorscooter. She rules the roost and is always chasing other does and small bucks from the feeders. Cannot wait to drop that chick.
