Starting the trial and error process on my new shooting iron. Trying to find the perfect round. So far I've found some factory ammo that it will shoot fairly well but i should be able to tighten this up. Later folks, Baker

Who built the rifle? It's sweet and looks like it's a shooter.

Mike it was built by a guy near St Louis, Mo. I bought it from a guy that had it built. As I mentioned it's a let handed C series Remington 700 short action. The barrel is a Hart#2 Stainless 24" 1-8 twist. Stock is a McMillian Remington Classic ADL 13.5" lop standard fill 50/50 black and orange. Bolt was fluted by Karl Kampfeld, finished and bedded.Cerekoted by Eddie Fosaugh, titanium and graphite black. The bare gun weighs 6.5lbs
The guy I bought it from didn't elaborate on why he was selling except he was reducing his inventory. So far I'm pleased with it. I'm working up a load for some 140 grain Hornady's that I really hope it will shoot well. Take Care, Baker

My next rifle build will be LH short action 260 AI. All of my current builds are long actions.

I've shot a 260 Ackerly before and Loved it. Minimal recoil and very accurate.
