Very nice crop. My dad used to put red Christmas ornaments in the tomato plants when the tomatoes were still green. Birds would give them he#% for a couple days and then leave them alone for the rest of the season.

I've been told that they will leave the tomatoes alone if you put out a dish of water. Essentially a bird bath. Havent tried it myself.

You're way ahead of mine, if they survive. Only have green ones, but the plants flooded with all the rain and look like chit. bang

Nice haul though

That sounds like a great idea, never heard of it. Will have to give this a try. up Birds have always tore my maters up in the past, tried all sorts of things that never really worked especially long term.

Birds got to all of mine how do you keep them away? I have tried rubber snakes and a wind thing that spins and they still got pecked by the birds anyway.

For birds I built a PVC frame and covered it with netting from Lowes. Left the sides loose so I can lift them up to pick the maters. Works great
