New Toy to the Collection

Not sure why but I love the SKS family. Had a nice collection a few years ago but sold them all off. Decided to jump back in with this 1978 Albanian I found off of Gunboards. Whats even better is its still has cosmolene all over her innards and looks to be unfired!

I had an old paratrooper sks. You could shoot it til the barrel was red hot and never malfunctioned. Always shot minute of vitals at 100 yards too.

When I was buying them I never saw one that clean. But I wish I had picked up a lot more of them.

I liked them as well, had a few back in the 80's. You could pick them up all day back then for $75 unfired and usually get a couple free boxes of ammo.

That looks like a very clean rifle.

I bought one in 1992 for $90 still got it today.

Hard to believe they use to practically give these away. Added a few more to the collection...don't tell the wife.

They are fun and very durable rifles. I have several myself, I can remember when they were less than $200 at the feed store where I grew up. Congrats on the new toy.
