All but 1 of mine and my hunting buds feeders are safe right now, takes a canoe to get to them. Have had ducks swim under my feeder with less water than now. Shoot em all.

It almost seems that they know that, there are so many between RR dam and LL, just amazing how many. They need to atleast make the greenbelt open to archery, maybe just at night?!?!

That's stupid, they should be protected from nothing. Make it shotgun or archery if the powers that be are worried about people safety.

This close to the park on 380? I know that area is covered in hogs. There is a way to get a permit to hunt it with bow (not sure about shotgun).

Small bridge by my house, it's bow only but a very small section on that corner 5-10 acres and the rest is private property.

I thought you could get a permit from the corp office? Maybe it is site specific though, like that to hunt Whitney though.

Not a hog hunter, so how much water does it take to run them out? Or how much can they tolerate? I know they like muddy as hell spots and low water.

Guess no one knows?

Re: Water has them on higher ground. - 05/16/15 07:51 PM

You can get a permit, certain areas shotgun and bow only that spot by my house is bow only but I don't think it's worth it. Ray Roberts has a season on certain areas don't ask me why but they do! If it rains hard enough to flood out the bottoms the will move to higher ground.

Timber Creek in Cooke county flows into Ray Roberts, it is out of banks and still hasn't drained yet. I lost a lot of fence in the past and will probably have to replace more when it dries. I need a fence builder.
