Yepper....I bought it for 4 grand and he put new tires and new battery on it. I wont even tell ya what I got offered for it from a friends souvenier shop down on the Galveston seawall


That's some true Americana right there folks. Jaws came out in 76 and he did it in 77. Paint doesn't look as great as it use to but from 25 yards it looks great. Interior is awesome and its only got 14k miles on it from going to car shows mostly.

man !!! that is awesome !!! i remember when i was a kid in the early 70`s driving past the chevy dealership and asking my folks to go slow so i could look at the ( goodtimes vans ) if memory serves me right thats how they were advertized . thanks for shareing , brought back some memories there !!!!!

That is great, brings back fond memories of the 70's and all of the custom vans.
Went to the Lone star brewery in San Antonio with the Lone Star Beer van club.

Everyone had CB'S and making all kinds of racket on them, using the antennas to bust out lights in the drive throughs.

Oh yes and all of the stickers on them. Oldest brothers buddy Mark had the funniest ones.

Like: If the Vans rocking, don't bother knocking Then right below that sticker read: Don't laugh your Daughter maybe in here

That is a work of art. Hats off to you for that find. I would have to store the keys in the safe in order to keep my kids from taking off in it.

Hopefully the almost 40 year old paintwork lasts your lifetime. A modern clearcoat application could make it last a very long time.

Seriously I don't know....like I said it looks great 25 foot away but the paint needs work and I don't know chit about how to restore the few little bad spots that are lifting. Probably play with it a short time and sell it off

Guy in my hometown had one painted up with an almost naked woman on each panel on a cloud or something. It's name was on both sides too, in big cursive curlycue letters: "Afternoon Delight".
