Ice? What ice? - 02/23/15 04:57 PM
Been out checking cattle and pulling people out of ditches. Amazes me how people have no common sense when driving or stopping on ice or snow. 4wd and common sense goes a long way, the bigger the truck the better.
And for the ones that will say "4wd won't help you stop", take it somewhere else. Engine drag when slowing down or downshifting in gear while in 4wd slowing at least two tires down helps a lot, more so if you have traction aids, wider tires equals more contact on the surface. Weight also helps. Born and raised driving in it and never had a problem.
Easy on the pedals, give yourself plenty of room and use your head. Pulled one guy out twice today, told him next time he was walking. SMDH.
Everyone be safe and if you need a pull within 30 minutes to an hour from Caddo Mills, give me a shout. Well, except two of you.
