Both look very nice. Last 3 years been below normal rainfall?

My buddies place in Kinney(SP) county got quite a bit of rain this year, although he thought it was still too late for optimal antler growth.

Very green out there the past two years. As green as we've seen it in 17+ years. Hard to figure what's going on other than many big ranches in the area breaking down into small (200-400 acre) tracks. A few 130 class bucks were seen before season, but failed to appear once the seasons started.

My first buck ever taken back in 96' from the same ranch. Was excited back then even though he wasn't a monster.

do you think that first one has some mullie in him somewhere because both his G-2's are splitting? i know it can happen to whitetail but with him being taken out west just makes be wonder. i have heard of guys shooting crosses before out there. nice deer.

I've wondered the same thing. That buck was the 3rd taken with split G2's.

Nice bucks. Sanderson area has seen more rain than usual this year. Maybe the bigger deer just weren't coming to feeders confused2

Top buck is a beauty cheers
To me it does not look like it has any Mulie in it, just a few nice splits that give it more character, congrats up

Just for the record I didn't harvest the 1st two bucks (BIL and FIL's bucks). They tell me they were in the 140's. Fact or fiction?
