Not hunting related. My parents live at the foot of Mt Lemon outside of Tucson, Arizona.

Despite the mountains in the background, it does not snow at their altitude (it does up on the mountains). Ever.

Woke up New Year's day to this:

Needless to say, there wasn't a trace of it about 2 hours later, but still very cool to see the cacti covered in snow.

Looks like Saddlebrook. I've got family there too. Last time I visited I had to stop the car and honk the horn to get the mule deer to get out of the road. They were EVERYWHERE! Was told they like to sit on the golf course under the sprinklers during the summer.

Great photos. I lived in Arizona for my high school years. I always thought cactus covered in snow was an awesome sight.

Re: "There's something you don't see every day..." - 01/02/15 04:40 PM

They're at some level of elevation, so there are massive temp swings in the fall/winter. Might be 40-50 at night and then 90 during the day.

Dad said as soon as the sun came up that snow vanished in a matter of minutes.

Love those new snow pictures!!! It happens here every couple of years. Fun for a couple of hours, then miserable until it all melts away and the mud turns back to dirt.

"I can't find my ball."

"Dude, how hard can it be to find a small, white ball in the desert?"
