Three year quest is over!

I'm speechless after tonight's hunt. What a cap to a three year quest for a shooter. I have spent countless hours in the stand, checking game cams, and away from home. I have passed many bucks over the pass three seasons. Thanks to my wife for understanding my passion of hunting. And the best part, I was with Dad in the stand.

Really nice main frame 8 and obviously the wait was worth it I count 10 points on it. You have the split brow and the kicker coming off at the base and all are over an inch in length

How many times did you go out to look at him last night and this morning I know I did a few times when I killed my first really nice buck.

Thats what he has overall, 10pt with the split and kicker. He was trying to split his G2's also.

I went out this morning to look at him before the taxi. All I could say to myself was that's a great buck! I keep replaying in my head the moments from last night. Only 5mins left of the hunt and this tall monster coming up from the creek. He walked in knowing he was the big guy on the block. He came in on a string to a group of does I stopped in a shooting lane with some hand thrown corn. I could barely contain myself enough to wait for him to turn broadside. I waited until he was quartered towards me and buried the .270win straight to the shoulder. He went no further than 20yds in the tree line. I was floored when I walked up on him. Couldn't believe this monster was on the ground. And the QUEST was over! Called the wife and let her know it was finally over. Until the next one that is!
