My wife would say that they are done enough for me to eat! She doesn't eat any type of rare beef but what does she know?

Actually they're being pretty smart. I've seen whole herds backed up to large burning brush piles on cold days "warming their roasts." I wouldn't go so far as to call it "smarts," but they know where it's warm and where it's cold.
