Update on the quest for the big 8

Well this past weekend we couldn't get it done for the big 8 for my 10yr old. Sat morning he came out running a doe but he would never give us a clear shot. So Sunday morning he came back out with the same doe still couldn't get the shot off, but a big boar came out and he made one of the most amazing shots I have seen him make on this hog 341yrds right through the shoulder and dropped him in his tracks. He practices with me a lot 300-400yrds I ranged the pig he made the adjustments on the scope with a 280rem and he gives me the I'm ready, I told him take him BOOM pig dropped. Couldn't be more proud of him makeing that shot. We will be back out this weekend for the big 8. Here is the pic of the deer he is after and the pig he shot.

Thanks guys he already counting the days to leave out again Friday after school, he is really getting in to the LR shooting, we shoot about 8-10 times a month.

Thanks guys he has eluded us the last 2 trips, we were going to head back out this evening hunt till Sunday but now im on call for the weekend so cant now..try that youth extened season..I have some good history with this buck and he added some inches this year, he keeps hitting the protein like he always does he will be awesome next year.
