Took my son and dad to our lease this weekend in Sterling county. We have not seen this buck on any of our game cameras until this weekend. My son decided this was the deer he wanted. We made our way to the blind around 3:30 that evening. Within 30 minutes of getting in the blind we were covered up in deer. About 15 minutes before the feeder was to go off "his" buck came walking out. Then the buck fever started setting in, I was telling him to take deep breaths and relax. He grabbed the gun and got ready, he had to wait for the right opportunity due to all the other deer moving around and getting behind his buck. He finally got a clear broadside shot, and made a perfect shot!! The buck kicked and ran about 50 yards! Needless to say I have a very happy 9 year old that is excited to be getting his first shoulder mount to go with his other euro mounts!
