Well made it out to the ranch this past Friday. Got up early Saturday morning and headed out to the deer woods. This guy showed up for the first time on camera Friday morning and I killed him at 7am Saturday morning. I haven't seen him all year at any of my feeders.

Thanks fellas!! He definitely wasn't the biggest deer I have seen this year but he is by far the coolest. His next stop will be the Taxidermist shop.

Almost looks like his g3 got bent down in velvet. That is an awesome looking deer. He has some long main beams!

The G3 actually broke during velvet and grew back into the main beam and kept growing down. I was talking to the taxidermist and he said he would still consider it a droptine since it grew back into the main beam. Either he is a cool looking deer and I am happy to have him.

I think that is my new philosophy I am heading to south Texas in mid December and have a new 16.25in custom barreled action waiting for a stock and optics. I might have to put it together for that trip and see if it proves true.
