all trucks are that way you just gotta go with what you have luck with. some people have luck with dmaxs some have luck with cummins and some have luck with p strokes.... just need to stick with what you have most luck with.

1997 7.3 ford bought new shop 24x in 11 months Lemmon law
1999 7.3 only issue was slave cylinder right after I got great truck
Ford put me in this truck in place of 97
2006 6.0. What a joke ragged motor, no power head gasket, and injectors and turbo had it 23k pos!
Now dodge had two 2003's, 2 2006's, 2009, and 2010. One water pump. Now which one do you think I would buy.

Day I picked it up.
Couple days after, still deciding on what Coilovers to go with and going to add a pretty awesome plate bumper/winch carrier Im working on.
I haven't had one problem with my '08 Tundra! Except when that 4x4 Mule Deer decided to jump in front of it going 70 down the high way 30 miles from the closest town at 1 a.m....
I have been there and it sux!
It happened a second time over Thanksgiving 10' but it was at 11 p.m. and it was a black angus that ran across. Same thing though 70 mph crushed the radiator and had to drive 20 mph for about 25-30 miles to the ranch.

Doesn't have those fancy wheels or a lift but it does good in the mud. I agree you stick with what you have luck with. Was raised Chevy and have always driven one. I figured I would give Ford a shot a few years back and that lasted about 1 year and it was gone. I like the new dodge but have heard I wouldn't be able to afford to fix it.

Another yota to add to the mix.
2010 Tundra CM 4x4, love it! It will be 1 year old later this month, no complaints. Base model 4.6L V8 with 3/1.5 level kit with 33" BFGs, getting right around 16mpg

not actually mine. it is my work truck. my boss takes pretty good care of me. tells me to use it like it was mine. free gas sure does help out.think it has been hunting and fishing more than it has been used for work.

x2 Mine has been hunting in West Texas for 4 yrs now thru mesquite and grease wood on some roads that are almost to narrow to get down. Won't post any pics as it is all scratched up.

Mine is a an 05 Ford F250 Extended Cab gas hog. Never gets washed unless it rains and the extra dust keeps the brush scratches down some. Never took any pics of since it is just a truck.

Our roads are so narrow that I have to fold the mirrors in our they will get taken off or busted.
I don't buy a truck to look at but to use it and then get another one when it is time. This one only has 71,000 miles on so I am gonna keep for West Texas for a while longer.

If I don't fold mine they get folded for me pretty quick. They also so make a good spotting scope/shooting rest when folded in also. Only bad thing about those year model Fords is the shield over the catalytic converter is bad about scooping up greasewood leaves and other brush leaves up. Making a fire hazard that I have to clean out twice a day at least.

it was a miniature horse...that's all that truck has hit. The Z has managed to smack a doe though in SHNF. I put in my time scouting. I did have a buck run into the old Ford I had as my first truck, guess he figured the truck would go dead before he ever makde it to a singletree.

x2 Mine has been hunting in West Texas for 4 yrs now thru mesquite and grease wood on some roads that are almost to narrow to get down. Won't post any pics as it is all scratched up.
Thats why me is white I assure I don't care how many mesquite ranches rub down mine but when it takes the mirror off it sux to the tune of $350
I've owned about 6 white trucks.....white gets old after awhile

Thanks. Will probably put a thread together when I get into it. Have everything together to redo the suspension and body mounts. Waiting on the engine and drivetrain that I had salvaged from my 76 to get back from the shop. 30' paint job and new seats/rollcage to finish it out.

Thanks cannon88, I have always liked them too! this is my second s-10 4x4 and i sold my first one to my brother and he still driving it today, its a 1984 4x4 and we nicked named it "the dime" so when I bought this red one I got personalized license plates put on this one that say "dime2"

I traded in my Dodge Ram in on this when gas went crazy in 2006. Its a 4cl it gets an average of 23mpg, has 85k miles and never seen the inside of a shop, and i have not once since buying it had a need for anything bigger.

My dad has a ZR-2, and it needs to talk with a physcologist because it has been abused. It used to look like yours, but black with fender flares and the OEM lift, now it's pretty bad, when I go out to the ranch I'll take a pic and post it in here.

Actually I had two trains of thought. I traded a 2010 Lariet today. I had a 2008 King Ranch that I traded in last year on the 2010 Lariet. I guess it sounds mixed up but that's not unnusual for me lol.

The truck I traded was exactly like your new one except a 2010. I didn't want the sunroof this time or the Nav. unit. The King with everything stickered out at 64K. Without the Nav unit and sunroof it stickered out at 60K. I love your color combo. Hard to beat a white truck. We just bought a silver Mini van and a white Accord so I wanted something that wasn't white or silver this time.

Should have gotten the Ecoboost. I was a skeptic at first. After the test drive and the first time I towed with it I was completely blown away. Ford has blown the competition out of the water with the 2011 F series.

I bought this lil 03 f150 new in may 2004 when I graduated high school and payed it off workin in the oilfield before I left to Denton for college. Had 9 miles when I first got behind the wheel. This lil 4.2L v-6 just won't die. Oil changes, air filters, fuel filters, and finally replaced the original plugs and wires 2 weeks ago.
No 4x4, but she gets the job done and has never left me stranded and the bed cover keeps all my gear safe and dry.
YES, THAT SAYS 234,775.6 MILES!

Tried to play with suspension flex, sort of worked.
A better pic of the front bumper. I personally built both front and rear bumpers.
Truck is an 04 Silverado, 6" procomp, 35" BFG KM2 mud terrains on Helo Maxx 8 wheels, my 2 custom front and rear bumpers, dual flomaster 40's with 3.5" exhaust pipe with no cats, programmed with a Superchips Flashpaq.

I LOL'ed. I've found that those aftermarket wheels are poor quality anyways. Hard to balance, half the sets I've owned are out of round, and not durable at all.
I just keep my factory wheels. They're worth more anyways.

Just got my first truck a few months ago and figured I'd share some pictures with y'all. I am very thankful for my dad hooking me up with this really nice ride, he purchased it (for much more than he intended to spend) from a good friend of ours who owns a used car dealership. Said the right vehicle came along and he decided it was worth spending the extra $$$ for the safety features and newer model. Thanks dad!!!

I'm never happy to see them up there but I can't seem to keep them off when I'm not around. That truck has been paid off for a while, been in two wrecks, hit a deer, and other assorted "accidents" has given it lots of character. I'm really going to be mad if they get on the new truck I get this year. A brush guard has kept them off the other two trucks but they get on the jeep too.

Grille has been changed along with the motor. A lot of work has been done to the truck over the years. About the only thing "original" is the paint job if I'm not mistaken.
Truck is really dirty and been sitting since last year when parked. I flattened the tires because some thieves came up to the ranch and tried to steal the tires but couldn't get them off.
I might be interested in selling the truck.... Hasn't moved in a year since last been parked and now days I just typically use the Ranger.

My first and still favorite truck:1967 Dodge Navy surplus from the Azores, rusty, hard to drive, cold in winter, hot in summer, unstoppable. Parts like the tailgate and muffler used to fall off on big bumps. The cab was so rusted that when you hit the brakes, it pushed down on the steering column and mad it difficult to turn. Could haul anyhting I could put in it

This is my custom dented 2008 Dodge Ram. Custom dented on the narrow German streets when Audi's and BMW's wouldn't move to their side of the road. Paint is a nice blue with some rust, bare metal and road tar.
Anyone interested in buying???

No...changed them 3 months ago....that's the most current picture I have.
I tell you one thing,..no such thing to keep a truck clean up here. Also I use my 4x4 almost daily.
My truck looks like a old beater, now.

My friend bought this new in 79. Just got it out of restoration.
He left the lift his son put under it. Still has the original spare tire/wheel.
Dodge Power Wagon, 318 4spd ps/pb. No air with crank windows & factory 8-track, rubber floor mat.

Pretty much how I want it now, got lockers, quick disconnect sway bars hard top in the garage, etc. Waiting for Christmas for a winch and marathon seat covers. Then will come a rear bumper and sliders.

Thanks snipepRab, those suppressors and ar's are just to much fun. Cujo, its a yankee hill machine todd jerret series. I like it, because you sill get a few rails, but its narrower and slick.

I think they call that "Buyer's remorse". I traded my XLT after 2,000 miles for a Lariat but stayed with the V8. Loving the truck and kept my decals.

Not really, I only keep them a year or two, just not impressed with the motor, the truck seems solid other than no handle on drivers side pillar other wise like it.

Thanks. So far performance wise, just a Mini maxx tuner with deletes, 5" exhaust, head studs,& a double disk clutch. I'll eventually put some dual cp3s, bigger turbo, and some injectors on it. It's just a slow build in progress. My end goal is to be around 700hp.
Suspension wise, I've got kind of a hodge podge of stuff lol. Thuren 3" soft ride coils, thuren control arms, adj. track bar, Carli leaf springs, and some crappy bilstien 5100s, with some 35" toyos. Been looking around for some King shocks, but thats a hard bullet to bite lol

Anyone else we got 1500 trade allowance and state fare bonus cash that can be used to make these incredible new rides fit almost any budget.
I still have a couple of my uplifted Rocky Ridge trucks with better than 10k off.
Wish I still had this one !
