DV Lease - 06/10/18 08:26 AM

Any of you Like minded individuals(Except the NAVY!! lol Just joking My father was Navy)care to try and find a lease for the upcoming season, OR on a lease that would allow one more person? I predominantly Archery hunt, but I'm getting pretty sick of the way I'm being done on public land. If I can't Find a lease somewhere, I'm just gonna quit. I use the meat to offset the cost of beef, but I'd rather be homeless and bankrupt than deal with the newer generation of inconsiderate hunter.

I am 100% DV. I just moved to Texas after 60yrs of being away. I am looking for and inexpensive lease to join or someone that can show and help me with public land. I have heard that public land is a nightmare to hunt unless you have someone to show you how it’s done. flag elmer

I might be interested if a reasonably priced place could be found. If there are others also interested, let me know.

Ron,
I normally hunt public, but it's been getting progressively worse the last 3 years. I'm not gonna be able to hunt at all this year due to a recent eye surgery. It SUCKS too, because wild game supplements the other meat I can't afford. Ive been contemplating selling everything and getting out of the sport, I guess this is God's way of giving me a sign. The way it is in the WMA where I hunt(as well as the Davey Crockett National Forest which surrounds it), You can only harvest does during Archery or Muzzleloader seasons. By the time January comes around, most of the does have been pushed around so much that you'll hardly EVER see them again during the day unless you're driving. It's like they know you cant shoot them!! Good luck this season!!
