Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/09/18 01:10 PM

With our luck, we could be the only 2 there and still not win anything.

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/09/18 01:35 PM

I bet that will be fun whether you win anything or not up

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/09/18 02:04 PM

It really is a fun place regardless if you win anything or not. We went last year and had a blast just walking around checking out all of the different vendors.

Taking the kiddo and my lucky wife this year. She has better luck than PMK and I put together lol.

I'll be there. We went last year and highly recommend it.

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/09/18 02:49 PM

Yep, I was amazed at all the vendors there along with all the free give away's. It could easy be an entire day worth of walking around. We were really late getting there last year and a lot of the prizes had already been given out.

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/10/18 12:04 PM

Wife and I were there last year and we will be there again this year. Looks like more vendors this year.

It might also have something to do with advertising (or lack thereof).

This thread is the 1st I've heard of the event.

I know that if I was ramrodding a hunting expo, I'd advertise many places, like I don't know, Texas Hunting Forum?

I'd like to attend, if I hadn't made prior plans.

I'll be there. My ranch is only a few miles away on 581. Planning on taking the kids turkey hunting in the morning and heading that way for a few hours afterwards. Hopefully I will se some of yall there!

I see the adds all of the time in the Lone Start Outdoor news and the Texas Co-Op magazine.

I agree with you though on better advertising in hunting & fishing forums up

10:00 am to 6:00 pm ... ZK-315 and I went last year after his son's birthday party, got there kinda late but still got to see a lot of good stuff.

I saw somewhere (likely one of the Hoffpauir's businesses Facebook pages) that this year, you don't have to be present at the end of the day when they announce the winner of the Polaris Ranger Crew that will be given away.

my point is, that’s likely why there aren’t a lot more people attending. Location location location

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/11/18 02:48 PM

Does it cost just to attend? Would like to go, would be a nice drive from DFW, but it might be a little too early for that much activity since I had spine surgery last Thursday. This sitting around in a cervical brace stinks!

It's from 10-6. We went after my son's birthday party last year. This year we have a birthday party to go to in the afternoon so we'll be there in the morning until 1ish ???

It's not 100 acres packed with vendors. I'd say its about the size of a typical expo, but they just have a little more elbow room. We thoroughly enjoyed last year and my boy is big enough this year (just turned 2 last week) that I think he'll have fun.

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/11/18 03:18 PM

I would suspect there is a pretty solid 5+ acres of outside vendors plus a couple of large show barns packed full. There is no cost to enter and has a large field for parking with shuttles (mostly Polaris Ranger Crews) from the parking area up to the Expo. I saw yesterday they will have handicap parking available this year too. Appears there will be 4+ food vendors onsite (purchase food items) with a bunch of free raffles and some where you can buy raffle tickets for larger items. Plenty of shade if hot.

I drive past that ranch pretty often going to my buddies place in Lometa. He is building a big new house.

Re: Hoffpauir Expo??? - 04/13/18 04:44 PM

I was lucky and happened to be on turkey hunt in the area when it was being held last year and went. Had a good time and my brother won a LED light bar for his truck in one of the vendor raffles.
