Right.

It was designed as an 800 yard, and less, cartridge, because beyond that was artillery's job, circa 1952. It is still pretty good up to that distance. Beyond that, it is still capable, but you had better be a wind reading wizard.

Plenty of 6.5mm (.264") and 7mm (.284") cartridges I would rather use for the task.

Chey Tac wildcatted their own cartridge, and necked it down to 375. And 375 Chey Tac stomps all on the list, but it didn't make the list. So the author of the list is way behind current data.

There are a number of rounds that could or should be on that list, but it's not a bad list. The weird thing is that it is a mix of military, target shooting and hunting rounds. If it were limited to hunting rounds, I would drop 50 bmg off the list and add 7 rem mag. I would replace 408 CheyTac with something smaller as well. If practicality and cost were not a consideration, I might go with all Lazzeroni or Nosler cartridges as well.

I thought it was odd to list the .408 instead of the .375, as well.
