Any falconers on the forum?

I'm giving serious thought to taking up falconry in the near future and going through all of the hoops necessary to get the apprentice permit. I'm trying to find some local people (Central Texas) that I can talk to and consult with about this sport in order to get started. I've done a lot of reading on the subject and I know the regulations and process involved to get a TX apprentice falconer license - so I'm looking for people with hands-on experience to ask questions and perhaps see their setups and birds in action.

There are some falconry forums out there, but none of the ones I found had anything regional, so I was hoping there would be someone here.

PM yanta61 on here IIRC he does falconry. He is a taxidermist and posted recently in that sub-forum below.
