Anyone know of a group of centerfire rifle shooters/league east of Dallas? I would like to get started in some friendly competitive shooting. If there is a group or groups I would like to contact them and see what's available in my area or within a reasonable drive.

Check out Practiscore. There are lots of matches listed on there by region. Call you local gun ranges and see what clubs may be operating out of those ranges, or other clubs near by. Also look into the PRS Club matches. They have them in various locations across TX.

Welcome! Most of the time you will have to travel a little ways to shoot. PM me if you have any specific questions. When you start shooting more, you will get better as a shooter. Shooters are very helpful at matches and they are a lot of fun. Ask a lot of questions.
