Texas Outdoor C.H.I.L.D Takes Jill Hunting for Red Stag - 11/15/17 03:54 AM
A couple of weeks ago Texas Outdoor C.H.I.L.D. hosted Jill Williams on her dream hunt for red stag out in the Segovia area. As up you can see from the pictures she had a great time harvesting a nice red stag and several hogs. Despite loosing her left leg to cancer she gave the "old men" a run for their money chasing after the animals.

Is this program in operation in the Panhandle? I might be interested in working with them.

We take kids out from all over Texas. The only constraints are where the kids come from and any travel limitations imposed by their doctors as well as what species they are wanting to harvest. For example, last year we hosted a young man from Beaumont and his doc imposed a maximum of 3 hours travel time. This restricted us to an southeast Texas hunt. Youngsters like Jill that are able to travel any where without restrictions open up all kinds of possibilities. The species also comes into play as we try to provide the youngster what they want. This can impose limitations due to the availability of the species. We have folks that have offered us hunts for dove, for example, but we have yet to have a youngster request a dove hunt. That doesn't mean that we do not appreciate the opportunity, it just means that as a response to the request from our hunters, we have never gone on a dove hunt. Almost all of the youngsters that come to us are wanting a big game hunt.
