Elk Hunt 2017/ Eastmans MRS

Hey Guys,

Hope everybody had a successful 2016 elk season. I'm sure I'm not the only one planning for 2017 already.

Just dug my Dec/Jan EHJ out of the mail pile and noticed it didn't have any Elk MRS data in it. Did that come in the Feb edition?

It's been a while since I've opened Eastman's, but I think they split their MRS between EBJ & EHJ.

That's true. I'm really needing/wanting the MRS for New Mexico. I know it was in EHJ last year.

Thinking I'm just going to do a digital description to both... probably easier that way.

It is usually. Just look at the one from last year, not much should've changed.

Well there I go. That reminded me I still had the edition from last year... found it in the Feb/Mar

Just check dates on the NM website.

Winterkill may be a big issue in some areas. Don't base your picks on the MRS solely. Western Wyoming has been buried by snow and bitter cold.

Not too concerned with that in NM. Further north and I'd account for that.
