Not on the Big Time Texas Hunts.

I've been buying chances for these hunts for at least 15 years if not longer. I've never won anything but I'll keep playing each year as long as I can afford it! I figure it's a donation. Baker

I bought less this year than years past, but I don't see it any different than buying big game raffle tickets from the other states (AZ, WY, NV, etc). Nine bucks for a chance to win a Desert Bighorn sheep tag is worth it for me.

They post the number of applicants and percent of success.

There is a guy here in Abilene who actually won the bighorn sheep hunt and got a super ram a few years back. You can't win if you don't try!

I put in for the sheep hunt every year. 'Closest I get to playing the lottery. But I guess not really 'cause I'm positive I'm gonna eventually win!

However, I think the sheep hunt is on the regular draw hunts, not these "Big Time" hunt drawings.

Correct. It's on the normal hunt drawing site but it's still $10 and it's a guided hunt and they only give away one per year.

There is a desert bighorn hunt in the regular draw hunts, but if you win the "Grand Slam" hunt on the Big Time Texas Hunts, you get to hunt a desert bighorn, along with a pronghorn, mule deer, and whitetail.

Well, here I jabbed Superduty about critical reading on another thread and I completely skimmed over the webpage and missed it. Guess that goes under the "glass house" heading, or is it "when you point one finger..."?

Thanks for correcting me. Maybe I'll have to donate, I mean enter that too.

Idaho just posted the second chance draw.
These are only there because guys drew and never paid for the tags. I think that most of those tags are guys who never knew they drew. I do the pointhunter app and lots of guys say thank you for telling me when the app sends out draw results. They say I did not know. Some forgot that they put in their wife or kid.
no tags for me in second draw.
There were successful people in the draw results for second draw from the PointHunter app.
I attach a picture of
what I was dreaming I would get if I drew the second chance draw tag.

I draw many tags each year because I apply in many states. It is much cheaper than a guided hunt. Most years i turn back in a few tags as You cannot be in 2 places at once.
