What ever happened to Lloyd Kolb of TTHA?? - 05/07/16 01:19 AM

The recent threads brought this to mind. I was a member for a long time. I even won first place in the Hill Country Division Deer contest 1987ish.

Anyway, there was a man named Lloyd Kolb who disappeared while conducting a helicopter survey somewhere in South Texas or Mexico. It was a huge story in the TTHA Magazine in the late 70's, supposedly he was never found or heard from again.

Anybody here familiar with this? Long time ago when the TTHA first started.

I know they found a helicopter crash site in Mexico many years ago. Never did hear if they identified the remains.

I remember that, too. Seems like the TTHA ran a small 1/2 page news clip the month after he disappeared.

Looks like they found him in 2006...

TTHA wouldn't want to waste the advertising space to run a better story.
