Yes we did, but it was hard to light
. My 12 year old son got an antipope this year and we smoked it. We did no marinade, rub, or seasoning at all. We use charcole, hickory mini logs, cherry chunks and a pan of water. Smoked 2 - 2 1/2 hrs. Finish up in cast iron skillet or counter top grill. Turned out very well
