What is large in your opinion
Well SHE said... But seriously folks, it depends on how it's been managed. The first place I was on was run "fast and loose" with 20, that's
twenty hunters on it. (9000 acres.) The occasional decent WT buck was shot, but I didn't see anything different than the hill country. And, although I was able to hunt muleys, a lot of the other hunters were out to shoot anything with a fork horn, so I didn't see a thing worth shooting. If you've never hunted muleys, you might change your mind about not wanting to hunt them. One of the guys in my current group started off saying he wasn't that interested in muleys, then he saw some. Now he's leading the charge in how to increase our quota.
If it's been managed, or can be managed, you will see better than hill country WT bucks. I live and have a small place in the hill country. I enjoy going out to the Chihuahuan desert, not just for the deer.
