I should add that about 5 or 6 years ago I hunted with an outfitter who regularly offers hunts on this board. It turned out that his hunting style wasn't for me and I didn't particularly enjoy the hunt. That said, he wasn't a bad guy and he delivered everything that he promised, so I have to give him credit for that.
There's a certain element of chance in all of this that you have to accept as part of the game. As long as the outfitter puts in appropriate effort and the situation is as advertised, he's done his part to make things right. The rest is up to us.
I agree 100% as long as guide, outfitter has done his job in an ethical lawful way and not miss represented . Then sometimes it can just come down to personality conflict. Booked a hunt for deer in south tx about six year's ago saw plenty of deer and was successful but will never hunt with him again, after 2 days wanted to scream personality's did not jive at all. The old African pro"s had a saying , im still drinking his liquor. All else has seased.
