Bull Elk loose in downtown WAco

This morning, the cops and animal control and the zoo people are trying to find a bull elk that is loose in downtown Waco...they think it came from a ranch outside of town...

As of lunch time today, it was still running around on S.32 St. in Waco. No one has a clue where it came from!

That was the picture posted on the local radio station facebook page this morning. I was listening to them talk about Waco PD and Waco Cameron Park Zoo staff chasing the elk and they said there was a picture of it on their page. It 92.9 Shooter FM on facebook.

Bad for the Elk if 92.9 Shooter FM is on the scene!

Looking at the picture again, I think that it is a police dash cam. Looks like it is in full color and not black and white or greenscale.

A buddy of mine hunts hogs about 7 miles outside of Waco. He Has several game cam pics of a young bull elk (not the one caught in waco ) guess more than one got out from somewhere

A guy I am working with today said that a friend of his that lives north of town killed a massive bull elk awhile back. He said the rack was one of the bigger Boone & Crockett scores. (I haven't seen pics, so I can't verify). But apparently there are quite a few loose in the area. I don't know how that one ended up in downtown though.

Was a pretty interesting morninh chasing that elk I'm the one who spotted it and helped take it down

must of been a lot of fun tryin to corner an elk( would of liked to catch him and take him to my place)
