Howdy all. Quick question. I'm guessing the answer to this is pretty clear, but I just want to make sure.

I recently purchased some property and in my county (Red River), Eastern Turkey season opens next month.

My question is... when the law reads, "no hunting over bait", this means I cannot shoot a turkey by the deer feeder correct?

If so, is there some written rule as to how far away the bird has to be from any "bait"?

Ask your game warden.

That's correct, I think its within 100 yards.
If you need the game warden's phone number for RR county, PM me.

It's completely subjective. Best bet is not to have any bait on your property. If they can prove the birds where on there because of bait you're guilty, and that's your word against theirs.
