Question about Elk hunt in Montana

Does anybody have experience hunting in the area of Black Butte? Headed up there the end of October. We'll be staying in the Cottonwood Campground as our base camp and spreading out from there for our hunts. Wondering what area would be best to head towards from camp. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
