There was the post running about the "Heebie Jeebies" walking to your stand in the dark hours of the AM, how'd you like to have that silhoutte in between you and your stand? That is a nice sized cat.

I wonder if it was the same one that was videoed climbing the bleachers at Tiger Stadium few years back?

Beautiful cat. Congrats to whomever. cheers If you look closely at paws you can see why they leave a 4" wide X 6" long print in muddy area. We have one that crosses pasture roads in several spots and leaves a big print if it wet.

Hey that's my neighbor! (the male GW)

It was out in the Chalk Mountain area (west of Glen Rose and south of Bluff Dale).

It was shot by a guy deer hunting around Fossil Rim west of Glen Rose. It just wandered by during the day and he shot it. First one reported killed in Somervell county in 30 years.

Impossible. I've on this forum long enough to know that it's a FACT that there are NO mountain lions in Texas east of the Pecos regardless of what any of us have seen or heard. grin

We had a large cat seen on our lease last week. 20+ turkey at the feeder and the cat was sittings 20yds from the feeder just watching the birds.... We hunt in northeast Val Verde county in Juno. Sure will make that walking in and out in the dark more interesting!

The Somervell county Sheriff sent me the pic. It's for real. A guy that hunts close to us shot it sunday morning near 'Chalk mountain'. He called the GW, who came out to look at it. I've always heard they were around here, this proves it. Funny, this seems to be the year of the big cats in Texas. Another guy whom I trust, has seen a big one at 'Mountain lakes' right outside Bluff Dale. Professional guy, who has no reason to make this up.

I saw the video of that one. There was a $500 dollar bounty on it's head. Wonder if the bounty holds on this one? Maybe the Glen Rose tigers need to change their name to the 'cougars'.

Yesterday was a wash. Spent the night hunting hogs with a friend, a case of beer, an ar, a lb of tannerite. Boy that stuff is fun. Rolled in the house at 5:00am. OUCH!

It was another member of our group that actually saw it. Right after he took the pic he hit the butt of his rifle on the side of the stand and the cat spooked before he could react. But me, I would have shot first and then taken all the pics I wanted!
