Early Rut in Del Rio - 11/18/14 01:30 PM

The rut started very early on my ranch North of Del Rio. Pictured are some bucks killed on the first two weekends..all were chasing/paired up with does.

Congrats...
But very odd, we are 27 miles west of Rock Springs and have a little chasin but not holding at all..

I have had the ranch for 16 years, the rut nearly always starts first week in December. I read that rut was on in the Hill Country..Very Strange happening

Congratulations. Yeah, this year has been a little odd, more of a 'trickle' rut around here (Stephenville area). This cold weather should really get 'em going though.

The "Old" Lab is 2-1/2 Year old "Satan's Creek Take It To The Max" UKC Champion and 1 win away from his AKC Championship.
Deer blood gets him cranked up because he knows that he will shortly have a deer leg to chew on.
He sleeps in the deer blind while I hunt... rifle
