opening morning

the sun twas about ta shine. whin i jumped out of bed. threw on me britches &graves me rifle. ran down ta me stand, tripped & hit me head. whin woke from me nap, to the stand i went. whin got ta the stand, checked out the rifle. something tis wrong, no bullets in sight. so eased back to the house. grabbed few bullets, 2nd cup of third time ta pee. some times i wonder, what's wrong with me. tis getting light enough ta see, as i stroll to the stand. now the sun is up. tis a quite beautiful day. no shots have been fired. thhink the deer & hogs over slept. could have stayed in bed. a trip back ta the house, my battery is dead. dang thing been roman, & i feel a russion. time ta empty my blatter again, time ta pee. some times i wonder what's wrong with me. any one haven any luck.

twas a good day

It was 31 degrees north of Abilene. Got in the blind about 6:45 watched 11 doe, yearlings, & fawns for about 3 hours. Kept waiting on a buck but no luck. It was great.

weather starting ta cool down here. twas pretty quiet. few squirrels behind me. the season just begun. would have been nice ta see some does. rigged up a mount for me camera. we only have 3-4 days for doe. they fun ta watch, helps the time go bye. best wishes
