I'm afraid I raised a MastChefMonster..

I'm afraid I raised a MastChefMonster.. - 03/17/22 11:59 PM

My son made Birria Tacos last night. You can google that. I feel bad because this morning I was kinda grumpy and gave him an earful that he needs to cool it on the cooking and focus on studying, this cooking kick is just a distraction to not study, because he spends all day on it!! Then he says “Dad, it’s spring break.” I’m lucky I have a kid that wants to cook on spring break and not go to South Beach. He is such a good kid, and a damn good cook...And he bought all the food with his own money, he works and goes to school.

Food looks fantastic and sure it tasted the same

I only knew him as a boy but it was obvious then he was being
raised right and I’m not surprised he’s a fine man now.

Yep. And be glad, sir. I work at a university with a bunch of kids your son's age. Most of them can't boil water, much less cook an entire meal. They do, however, know how to go to Panda Express, Subway, and Chick-Fil-A and how to order UberEats and DoorDash...and then they wonder why they are so deep in debt.

For me, cooking is also therapeutic and one way I show my love to my friends and family. If I actually take the time to make you food, you hold a special place in my heart. I'm an extremely good cook and come up with my own recipes, but I don't do it for many people.

He is so over the top, he toasts most those spices on cast iron, then grinds them in coffee blender...

Very impressive!! If he can finish college while having that kind of cooking talent he just has another "arrow in the quiver" of marketable skills.

He just may own a restaurant and be on Guy Fieri's show one of these days.

That looks damn good.. I would be concerned about any young man that would rather cook at his parents house than go to South Beach though. WTF?

It has been a while but I have had the pleasure of being around Guy's son many times when he and my son hunted together, always polite.
Y'all raised him right and it appears he can out cook his old man now confused2

Do you two still go shoot skeet at that gun club?

He lost interest in that, but my daughter wants to shoot. I have taken her a few times to shoot Ryan's old youth single shot 20ga. And just got her fitted for a 12ga Barrett. She just might go dove hunting with me, she has never been interest in shooting animals and still on the fence there, but she wants to go.

He is different, that is for sure. He has never got in trouble for anything, which is amazing. Now my daughter can be a little trouble maker and would love to go to South Beach, lol.

One of my employees Resigned and open her own taco shop in legacy hall. Invested 10k on .material and now has one of the best taco stands around. The buffalo shrimp taco and smoked brisket taco will make you come back for more. He could have a bright future making crazy money.

That is actually my dream. I’m too scared to actually pull the trigger on it. But if I could match what I make now I’d do it in a heart beat.

Maybe a joint custom tacos and eyebrow threading shop in the future could be a winner
