New Lone Star Law Season starts Jan. 22 - 01/14/22 01:16 AM

I thought a new state law put in place last year made it illegal to record video of Texas LEO's for entertainment purposes.

They exempted game wardens. Lone Star Law is a hit so it’s not going away. They are trying to keep Cops and Live PD and similar shows out of the state.

Thanks for the heads up.

Apparently it was the success of Lone Star Law that led to the creation of Louisiana Law the wife and I happened across last night.

Meh, I gave up on that show a couple of seasons ago; it got pretty repetitive.

They have the same few wardens in every episode.

All reality TV is repetitive and boring.

I like Lone Star Law though. I see places on there that I'm familiar with and it's pretty good.

Some of Lone Star Law has been good, but I don't really care to watch it anymore (mostly if nothing else is on). And, I totally gave up on the Cajun version after the first couple of episodes.

I think it has contributed to the total insanity we see in our Kerr County GW’s. At least one thought it was good bull to come unannounced through two electric gates he had no access code to, pull up and not knock on my door to announce his presence, and proceed to go in my barn and pilfer through my freezers.

I live here, my vehicles were here, it was very plain that I was present, but he didn’t have the courtesy or the respect for his life and my life to knock on my door and let me know he was trespassing after jimmying two gates to get here.

Had I been out on the ranch and driven up from the other side of the barn where I couldn’t see his truck and walked in on him in my barn it could have been a really bad confrontation.

Everyone wants to be a movie star.

From my understanding it does not matter what you think as long as he probable cause for him to do what he wants.

That’s true. But that’s bs and everyone knows it. There was no probable cause, and even if there was, is it worth the risk to life to come in unannounced after breaking through two gates? I don’t think it is. But hey, ymmv.

My thoughts. After 1000 no fishing license violations it gets pretty mundane.

What is by far the saddest incident I have ever come across happened in Mississippi back in the early 80’s. A guy from New Orleans was with his wife visiting her parents for the Christmas holidays. His FIL had a food plot and box stand behind his house and had been reportedly hunting at night. The SIL had been hunting it that evening and was walking back to the house when he heard something in the woods that startled him. Wanting to scare it off, he fired a few rounds into the dark. Turned out it was the local Game Warden who evidently thought he was about to catch the FIL night hunting. Tragically, at least one of the shots hit the officer and killed him. The SIL would later be convicted for the killing and die in prison before finishing his sentence.

They should do better since big mouth Riger Ramjet retired. If he talked to me like he did dome of those folks I would have gladly taken the time in Jail to bust his mouth. That guy is garbage and everything wrong with law enforcement.

Agreed. Not unlike 'No knock warrants' pretty risky. IF not absolutely necessary....then just contact the person and announce your reason for the visit.

Exactly, and what would be “absolutely necessary”? Had I been “poaching deer” on my own high fenced property, is that worth risking both of our lives??

I DVR everything so I don't have to watch the lame PC commercials these days.
