Catch Dog?

Any of y’all ever been asked to do one like this? Can’t imagine memorializing my favorite dog like this, but to each his own I guess.

Never seen anything like that but it is cool.

Yes, once. Buddy of mine went of hog hunt where the outfitter used dogs. Hog crushed and killed one of the dogs so he had it mounted with the hog.

Neat taxidermy but I personally couldn’t mount my dog. Just seems weird to me.

I asked my Taxidermist once if he ever did a dog, he said he gets calls every now and then, so he quotes something really high and they never do it with him. He said he would feel weird doing a dog.

Didn't Roy Rogers have Trigger ( his horse ) and his Dog ( Bullet ) stuffed,

there was a joke about this and Dale ( wife ) but I forget the punchline

My taxidermist has done a few dogs. She says that it is always a guy that brings in the dog, and he is a blubbering baby.

Where the other half of the dog...don’t think I would ever, but that’s me.

There used to be a show on the discovery channel or something about a taxidermist who mounted people’s pets. I remember one lady wanted her little Yorkshire terrier mounted lime it was sleeping in its bed. That was one creepy show

Nope and i'm sure going to pizz off all the hog guys who use dogs. I don't like it. That's me. If it's legal have at it. Not my cup of tea. Go forth....

Just thought of this. I couldn't get myself to cape a dog out. That's just to eary for me. Wild game no problem but a dog nope.

I have done some taxidermy in my day. I have been asked to mount dogs before. Problem is that a good taxidermist can make the mount look like a dog, but it will never look like the dog the person has been seeing for years. I also declined the offers.

Dale also wanted to be stuffed and mounted.
But not in that order.
