Alligator Head mount

Anybody know a decent taxidermist for an alligator head mount?

I've seen some that look freeze dried or something and don't look very good.

Was thinking Head mount might look cool if done right.

Hunt will be in Houma, La area so maybe someone out there.

Guide says he knows someone for $200 and I'm afraid that's the freeze dried version.

The skin on a gator head is thin and very difficult to remove so I'm not sure that traditional taxidermy would work. If you're not big on the freeze dried version, take a look at a euro and have the hide tanned. No market this year for skins so you may be able to keep it for next to nothing.

SouthTexas, that makes sense.

Thanks for the tip. I think the Euro is the way to go.

The absolute best looking gator skull was done by ironcladmetals. It's copper coated and turns slightly green, when I finally get one they'll be the ones who finish my euro. http://www.ironcladmetals.com/
