The best or most effective way for me is to bury the skulls in the ground for 6 months and then out of the ground for another 6 months (put wire around the jaw to keep from losing teeth). I know it sounds stupid, but that is the only way I can get a hog skull to not stink. If there is a way to boil it out, the guy on here (McTaxidermy???) from Keller area would know how.

can you boil it? put some borax on it and try and clean off any meat you can. borax is a dry preservative but it can help neutralize some smell.

I buried a deer skull (after a couple boils and scrapping off the meat/tendons) in my garden and 3 months later it was super clean. Boiled it once more for good measure, and it was fine. I did love a couple teeth, so the wire around the jaw is a good idea.

I'd soak it in a fabuloso/h20 concoction.

I let the flys have there way with one for a few weeks and the let it simmer for a couple hours and that worked. If I ever decide to mount another hog skull it's going to McTaxidermy for sure. Sorry I forgot to say that I drill some small holes in the bottom of the jaw also like 1/8" & 2 on each side.

Go to Petsmart and ask for an enzmatic odor remover. It is what they use to clean body bags.

Ive done a few Hog Skulls, I boil them in water mixed with Borax and Dawn Dish detergent. Dont be shy with the Borax and Dawn, Usually takes 3 to 4 boils changing the water, dish detergent and Borax. After you get them nice and clean be sure to pull the cutters and pull the meat out of inside the teeth, thats were your smell is comming from. When finished, I go to the hair salon and buy some peroxide and cover the skull with it and put it in the Sun for a few hours. Rinse and let dry for a day or two then clear coat it. Wont stink. looks awesome. These three I did a few weeks ago.

Beetle cleaned and thoroughly thoroughly thoroughly degreased with soaps and chemicals. Hogs are one of IF not the hardest skull to do correctly. If you do not degrease they WILL NOT stay white.
